History of the company
POLSPORT LTD Tourist and Sport Products Manufactory is the oldest company, which produces sport equipment in Poland. The beginning dates back to the period between the two World Wars. In that time, in 1925 in Góra Kalwaria – large center of furriery and forging was established Mr. Kulmatycki’s factory – SZERMIERZ (FENCER), which main activity was fencing equipment production.
After the war, on the base of pre-war factory was established state enterprise “POLSPORT LTD Tourist and Sport Products Manufactory in Góra Kalwaria”. Over the years, the factory broadened successively the assortment of produced sport and tourist products. In the seventies modern production buildings were put into service; production is taking place there up to now.
Large, world-wide fame brought to the company production of fencing equipment – sabers, foils, epees, as well as protective clothing, of which over 50% were dispatched on foreign markets. Beside the sport equipment, POLSPORT LTD Tourist and Sport Products Manufactory was a famous producer of tourist furniture: deckchairs, armchairs and tourist beds.
The last decade is a time of the company’s restructuring and modernization. The production of tourist equipment was ceased, the company focused only on sport equipment production. At present POLSPORT LTD Tourist and Sport Products Manufactory is a dynamically developing private enterprise, which successfully combines reach tradition and modernity. Thanks to this the company still strengthens its market position and improves financial results
POLSPORT company in its reach history significantly contributed to sport’s development in Poland. With our production and service activities we earned recommendations of few hundred institutions, including most known activists, sportsmen and sport clubs. Likewise, now we also want to serve to the good of polish sport.
